Working A Garage Door Remote

Before the days of a garage door remote a rainy day meant getting out of the car and wading through water to open the door, then getting back in the car to place it inside. Thanks to the development of the remote control garage door opener this is no longer necessary. A push of the button, the door opens, one drives into the garage and steps out into a dry area.

It was 1926 in Indiana that the first electric garage door opener was invented. It consisted of most of the components used in today's openers, such as cables and counter weights. At that time remote controls had not been completely developed. It was a World War II bomb locater device which was adapted to opening garage doors.

Working on a radio signal, transmitted to the door opener was the original concept used with the remote. Unfortunately, this system would open any garage not just the owners. Thanks to inventors and others, this is no longer a problem due to many improvements, which have been developed over the years.

Through a series of codes, which are developed between the opener and the remote the safety of the owner's garage, is secured. These codes interact with each use of the device and provide a smooth way to open the door. These codes are quite intricate in their design and constantly re-code.

Consulting the Internet one will find numerous companies that offer a large variety of remote control devices. The majority are attached to the car visor and simply require a touch of a bar or button to put the door into action. Inventions are constantly being presented to update this device. One of the latest attaches the device to the car body itself, out of sight, thus eliminating the need for it to be on the visor. This would be a safely device for the homeowner in case of car theft where an intruder could enter a home through the garage.

A large number of different types of remote controls are on the market today. Some have buttons, some have bars. Those who have more than one garage to open often have the coded remotes and punch in a different code for each opener. This is often used by those who must open a garage both at business and at home.

A very sophisticated remote in the experimental stage is the use of a laser light. This light is beamed on a certain spot on the door, causing it to open. This adds extra security whenever used. This technique has been used for some time with various electronic products.

Those who have difficulty in garage parking would benefit from the garage door remote control that has a laser parking unit. Once the remote control is used, it activates laser guides which places the car in a perfect parking position. It can even be used for two cars and is of extra benefit for those who have difficulty seeing into a dark garage.By: Superman (me)Article Directory: http://www.articledashboard.comwww.clickerdepot.com
